Yvonne Clark-Smalls
Yvonne Clark-Smalls joined the team of Gentle Dental Care in September 2008. After retiring from the corporate world, she decided to start her second career. Yvonne grew up in Eutawville, South Carolina and upon graduating from high school,she went to New York. While living in New York, with business being her career path, she attended Manhattan Business Institute while working at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. In 1977, she and her family made a decision to move back to their home state of South Carolina. Upon returning to South Carolina, she continued her business career working at Santee Cooper. After completing 31-1/2 years of service, she decided to retire in June 2006. Yvonne is a graduate of Trident Technical College and also studied three (3) years at Limestone College.
Yvonne's main goal while being a part of the staff of Gentle Dental Care is to assist in providing optimal dental care to our patients.
Yvonne enjoys, most of all spending time withher family, gardening, cooking and sewing.

Sheila Gilbert, CDA
Dental Hygiene Samantha L. Bowman, RDH Monica O'Hare, RDH Monica is originally from Michigan, although she attended and graduated from Berkeley High School. She attended the Dental Hygiene program at Trident Technical College and graduated in August 2010, she received her Associate Degree in Applied Science. Monica immediately started working for Dr. Gilliard after graduation. She possesses certification in CPR, and Nitrous Monitoring and will be taking her Anesthesia Exam through the LLR in early November 2010. Monica is currently planning her wedding, which is set for late June, 2011!
Samantha has been working for Dr. Gilliard's office since August 2007. She Graduated from the Dental Hygiene program of Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC where she received her Associate Degree in 2007. She possesses certification in CPR, anesthesia, and nitrous monitoring. Samantha is from the Summerville area and graduated from Summerville High School in 2003. She is constantly staying up to date with the newest oral hygiene products and continuing education to better educate her patients. When Samantha is outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her new husband(October 2010) and her dog Jolene!

JoAnn Durgin
JoAnn Durgin is a Certified Dental Assistant. She is a Charlestonian with over 18 years experience. She joined our dental team October 2010 with expertise in chairside Dental Assisting, digital radiography, lab work and anything else to make the patients visit more enjoyable. She is dedicated and experienced in making the patients feel comfortable in her care, while ensuring they get quality professional care. JoAnn's homelife is filled with her family; her husband of over 28 years, Gary, and her 24 year old son, Stephen. She enjoys reading, jet skiing, fishing, and spending a quiet Sunday watching NASCAR.
